In my house, if my daughter Catherine, the 5-year-old, says something she knows to be false, she gets a spanking
Alright, maybe it’s actually Battery rather than Assault, depends on the statutes in your area.
I’ve heard that Assault is offering the threat of physical harm, and Battery is the actual physical harm, in a lot of jurisdictions, so I am going with that. Except for the title of the post, because more people understand Assault.
Striking another person is Battery. Cruz, here, seems to be admitting to striking another person.
“Oh, but the person he is striking is 5 years old.” Seriously, readers? Should adults be allowed to go around hitting 5 year olds?
“She’s his daughter.” So that’s where the line is? She’s no better than a table he owns? He owns his daughter, and thus can do whatever he wants to her? She doesn’t count when it comes to Assault and Battery? Does she count when it comes to Sexual Assault? Why for that and not the other?
If Ted Cruz had done to any other person what he freely admits he did to his own daughter, he would have a criminal record at this point. Why is this lousy excuse for a human being still a serious contender for the office of President of the United States?
