I mentioned somewhere that I would at some point put up a little phone video of myself playing a little ditty. Well, it’s below the fold. It’s an exercise from my Mel Bay Modern Guitar Method Grade 1 book – “Home on the Range”. I should mention that I am using my Yamaha acoustic for this one because it’s Home on the Range. I’ll put it below the fold.
I haven’t played it in awhile, so there are a couple of muted notes that shouldn’t be in there. Other noticeable things:
- The goatee or van dyke (I can never remember which it is – heck, could be a fu-manchu) that I have to cover the scar on my chin that is a pain to shave over.
- Over my shoulder on the mantle are the remains of our three dogs.
- The book I am currently slowly reading, “The Machine Awakes” (only a couple chapters in) and one of the Fated Blades novels. I was using them to hold the phone upright.

I couldn’t get the video to play.
Did you get an error message or anything? All I did was use the Add Media thingy on the WordPress Create New Post screen.
No—I hit the “play” arrow, and nothing happens.
OK, I tried changing it to a direct link instead of using the WordPress AddMedia thingy. If that doesn’t work, I’m not sure what else to do.
