And it annoys me some, because I can’t even get Pappy Van Winkle here in PA (at least not without jumping through some serious hoops that are on fire), and these people are cooking with it. Kind of makes me want to cry.

All of those require driving into the city (a hoop) and possibly having to find a sitter (another hoop) and making sure they have it in stock before I go (hoop). I may have an in, though. I have a friend who knows (works for) a guy who knows a guy (second hand hoops).
